Cement Additives

Cement additives, or chromium-reducing agents, convert Cr+6 to Cr+3 during mixing and curing. They're made from compounds like ferrous sulfate or stannous chloride.

Corrosion Inhibitor

Protect metal surfaces from corrosion with effective corrosion inhibitors. Prevent damage & extend lifespan. Choose from top products.

NEUTRALIZING AMINE

Neutralizing amines are chemicals used in various industries to control pH levels by neutralizing acidic conditions, particularly in steam and condensate systems. These amines are added to water systems to prevent corrosion caused by carbon dioxide, which can form carbonic acid. By raising the pH of the water, neutralizing amines help protect equipment and piping from damage, extending their lifespan and ensuring the efficient operation of the system. Common types include morpholine, cyclohexylamine, and diethylaminoethanol.

Heavy Fuel Oil Additives

Enhance heavy fuel oil performance with specialized additives, optimizing efficiency, combustion, and protection for industrial applications.

NEUTRALIZING AMINE

Neutralizing amines are typically applied to water systems in a controlled manner to manage pH levels and prevent corrosion. Here’s how they are commonly applied:

  1. Injection into Feedwater: Neutralizing amines are injected directly into the feedwater of a boiler or steam system. This ensures that the amines are distributed throughout the system as the water is heated and turned into steam.

  2. Continuous Dosing: The amines are usually added continuously using metering pumps to maintain a consistent concentration. This helps to effectively neutralize acidic components like carbonic acid formed from dissolved CO₂.

  3. Monitoring and Adjustment: The pH and alkalinity levels of the system are regularly monitored to ensure that the correct dosage of amines is being applied. Adjustments are made based on the readings to avoid over or under-dosing.

  4. Distribution in Steam and Condensate: Once introduced, the neutralizing amines vaporize with the steam and condense with it, providing protection against acidic conditions in the condensate return lines. This helps prevent corrosion in both the steam lines and the condensate system.

  5. Safety Precautions: Proper safety protocols are followed during application, including the use of protective gear and ensuring that the amines are stored and handled according to safety guidelines to prevent exposure and environmental contamination.
